Switzerland was one of the most surreal experiences I have had in my life. My friend Olivia and I began our trip with a flight to Geneva and then proceeded to take a three hour train ride into the small little mountain town of Interlaken. The weather was a bit colder than we were used to so I definitely spent a good amount of the trip bundled up in my sweaters, fur, and knitted hats. My ultimate goal of the trip was to enjoy a lovely little canyon jump. I figured it was about that time to give myself a good scare, and that it did. I was literally screaming bloody murder the entire 300 foot drop. I have never experienced something so frightening, but exciting at the same time. Another plus to that adventure was the amazing views we got to see on the way up the mountain. So unreal. We spent our last day in Switzerland climbing up to the top of a mountain, literally. I have never done anything so physically challenging in my life. It was pretty much a five hour walk of straight incline, but absolutely breathtaking! Side note... all I had for this walk was a pair of combat boots, a gap sweater and some AG jeans. I am such a sporty gal. Luckily, the view of the mountains, lakes and forests kept me pretty distracted from the burning pain in my legs. When we arrived at the top it felt as though I was in a dream, I couldn't help myself from thinking that I was one of the luckiest girls in the world. My pictures do not do it justice, it is one of those things that you must experience for yourself. After an hour of gazing at the beauty surrounding us, we headed back down the mountain to catch our train home. Even though Switzerland is insanely expensive, the people are lovely, the landscapes are overwhelmingly beautiful, and the food is delicious. I promise, a trip to this magical place is worth the money that you will spend.
You are so cute you trendy gal you. All I can think of looking at these pictures is "The hills are alive with the sound of music...." Love you!
