Well ladies and gentlemen, I have officially found my most favorite spot in London- Brick Lane. I have been there a few times throughout my stay here to visit different cafes and bars but I had never made it out for the infamous "Shoreditch Sunday" until this past weekend and boy was I a happy camper. The market on Brick Lane is known for their racks of endless vintage goodies and tasty Indian food. I obviously had to indulge in both. I first had to take a couple laps around the market before I was really ready to start digging. It is important to me to see everything first before I start making purchases; I am always a bit skeptical of the vendors ripping me off. Although all of the fur jackets were calling my name, I resisted. There is no way that gem would have fit in my suitcase home. Luckily, I found myself a couple 3 to 5 pound racks where I was able to score some awesome tops. Note to all of you denim lovers...you will never find more denim apparel under one roof in your life. It's amazing. After feeling satisfied with my purchases I was ready for some Indian food, which was delicious just like everyone said it would be. Not only does Brick Lane have awesome vintage clothes and food, it contains some of the best people watching. The streets are beyond crowded, filled with the most entertaining characters, just "hanging out." People are over the top hip, very punk bad-ass, and will wear anything as long as it doesn't match. If you are looking for a place to just chill, enjoy a beer, and see some cool kids on a Sunday afternoon in London, Brick Lane is the place to be. Shoreditch, you make me one happy girl.
