Thanksgiving

Instead of spending Thanksgiving cuddled up on my parent's couch watching the parade and listening to my mom cooking in the background, I spent it with new friends in my tiny little flat in London. And... unlike at home, we had no moms (or dads) to cook for us. I have never been a fan of cooking, but luckily my friend Julie is quite the cook. All I had to really do was cut up some veggies, stir the gravy and taste test all the pies. But nonetheless, it was a lot of work. We spent Wednesday night baking pies and then all day Thursday cooking and getting ready for the big meal. I now give all you Thanksgiving cooks out there major props; you are kind souls. After all the food was done, we finally sat down to stuff our faces. The food was absolutely delicious (thanks Julie) and we spent the next couple of hours trying to force as much pie into our bodies as we could. It was so nice to have a home cooked meal for once! Even though I had myself a lovely Thanksgiving here, it was just not the same without my wonderful family. Nothing beats being at home for the holidays, not even London. I am so excited to spend the rest of the holiday season with them when I arrive home!!
